Belly dancing draws on full body movement from head to toe - not just the belly! A medium level aerobic workout, increases core strength, increases flexibility, and improves posture. Also, the isolations and steps are great for your brain!
Another perk of belly dancing is getting dressed up to come to class. We all want to feel feminine and sexy, and once you put the coin belt on, you'll be surprised at the confidence that shines through. A great class to attend with a friend, mother, daughter, sister, etc.

What should I wear?
Come in comfortable clothes, whatever is comfortable for you to work out in. we dance in bare feet. You are also encouraged to come in long flowing skirts, along with coin belts and earrings as well, but it is definitely not necessary, it just adds to the mood and emotion of belly dance!
I've never danced before???
No worries! The classes are all levels and anyone can learn how to belly dance! All ages, shapes and sizes are welcome! The best advice is to not get discouraged your first few classes. Belly Dancing is challenging and you can not expect to get the moves your first class, but you Will notice after a few classes, you will begin to get more comfortable and familiar with the moves and steps, the moves will get easier, your technique and muscle memory will increase and the moves start looking better.
I don't have any co-ordination
You do! It may take a few classes to find it but the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy your workout. There is no comparison and no competition, everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary!
Andrea has been dancing since the age of 5, and belly dancing - instructing and performing- for over 5 years now. In her class you will be introduced to, learn and practice the basic and intermediate belly dancing moves, while getting a well rounded, full body workout. Combinations and choreography
are also integrated into the class once a basic knowledge of the moves is attained.
